Drawing inspiration from the Primitivo Winery Grape Skins, it showcases firm tannins on the palate embraced by concentrated notes of sweet chocolate and prunes. The finish is dramatic, peppered with layers of dark fruit and aggressive oak.

Fermenting your wine on GenuWine Winery Crushed Grape Skins (included) will enhance the bouquet and contribute soft velvety tannins for a round, juicy mouth feel.

Food Pairings:

As part of the agreement on between the European Community and Canada on trade in wine, the craft winemaking industry is actively abandoning all names of wines that imply geographical indications prior to any attempts on trademark protection, similar to what the industry faced in the 1990’s from the French Government (ie Champagne = sparkling wine). As a result, this wine will now be labelled as Valpola (formerly Valpolicella).
